Speech Therapy Services

Our Objectives 

  1. Enhance students' speech, communication, and social skills for everyday use at home, school, the boarding section, and in the community.
  2. Promote awareness among parents, teachers, and the boarding section staff about speech and communication disorders to support students’ learning and therapy.
  3. Raise public awareness of speech and language disorders and offer consultation services to help adapt learning content and communication environments for students.

 

Support for Students
  1.  Conduct individualized speech and language assessments for all students.
  2.  Provide therapy for language expression, comprehension, articulation, hearing, voice, feeding, and swallowing.
  3. Train students in the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools when needed.
  4. Provide training outside of the regular schedule, such as campus live broadcast training, cooperative promotion training, flag-raising ceremony hosting training, graduation ceremony speech training, inter-school sports event speech training, and assistive communication tools group training.

Support for Teachers

  1. Strengthen teachers' understanding of students' communication abilities through new staff induction training, in-class collaboration, professional consultations and teaching resource recommendations.
 

 

Support for Parents

  1. Help parents understand their children's language abilities.
  2. Host topic-based seminars and hands-on training workshops.
  3. Offer follow-up support for communication, language, or articulation practice at home

 

Support for The Boarding Section Staff

  1. Enhance understanding of students' communication abilities through training, consultations, and professional recommendations.
  2. Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools to assist the boarding section staff in communicating with resident students.
 

Support for the Community

  1. Participate in resource center services by offering training and consultations to mainstream school students, teachers, and parents.
  2. Supervise speech therapy practicum students from local universities.
